Monday, December 21, 2020 A Direxion Vet Joins a Startup As CIO A Gotham ETF startup has added a CIO. The team at Defiance ETFs recently welcomed on board Sylvia Jablonski as chief investment officer. Jablonski most recently served as managing director at Rafferty's Direxion. A spokesperson for Direxion did not immediately return a call for comment. "I am thrilled to join the Defiance family with the mission to evolve thematic ETFs across core sectors for the next generation of investors," stated Jablonski. A Fordham University and Boston College, Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management alumna, Jablonski served at Direxion Investments for more than 11 years. Prior, she served at Societe Generale for three years as vice president, equity derivatives, delta one sales trader.
