Two years in, an ETF entrepreneur is a leaving a $44-billion-AUM shop.

Ben Fulton recently left ProShares [profile], MFWire has learned. Park City, Utah-based Fulton served as managing director of tactical products at the Bethesda, Maryland-based mutual fund and ETF firm. He now serves as managing member of Elkhorn Consulting.

Fulton did not immediately return a call for comment. Michael Sapir, CEO of ProShares, did not immediately return a call for comment. A spokesperson for ProShares did not immediately return a call for comment.

A Taylor University alumnus, Fulton served at ProShare Advisors for more than two years as managing director. Prior, he led the late ETF startup Elkhorn Investments for nearly five years as president and CEO. Before that, Fulton served at Invesco Powershares for more than eight years as managing director. Prior, he served at PowerShares division of Invesco for give years as executive vice president of global product development. Fulton also served at Claymore Securities for two years; Nuveen Investments for more than three years; and Nike securities for two years as president and CEO; managing director; and senior vice president of product development, respectively.
