Tuesday, September 1, 2020 A Multinational AM Backer Adds a Marketing Chief A multinational backer of asset managers now has a global marketing chief.
Paris-based iM Global Partner takes long-term, minority stakes in boutique asset managers, including five U.S. shops: Dolan McEniry, a fundamental value U.S. fixed income manager; Dynamic Beta, a liquid alts shop that powers a pair of iM Global ETFs; Polen Capital, a focused, bottom-up growth equity mutual fund firm; Scharf Investments, a focused U.S. value equity mutual fund firm; and Sirios Capital Management, a U.S. long-short equity equity manager with a mutual fund. iM Global also backs an equities boutique in the UK and Luxembourg. And the iM Global team has been hunting for a U.S. distribution platform to buy outright (instead of just buying a stake). According to Couvrecelle, Gautier "will be a tremendous asset" to iM Global. "The arrival of Gwen strengthens our management team and further supports iM Global Partner's international initiatives," Couvrecelle states. Meanwhile, Gautier's move comes after iM Global bought a European fund platform back in February. Gautier most recently served as head of marketing and RFP at Lyxor Asset Management, another Parisian firm. Before that, she spent six years at Societe Generale (which used to own a U.S. asset manager) and eight years at Merrill Lynch. She is an alumna of Universite Pantheone Assas.
