Tuesday, August 4, 2020 Thomas Brings an 11-Year JPM Vet to the Top of Am Cent As a C-suiter prepares to retire from American Century, an 11-year veteran of J.P. Morgan is joining to fill the exiting American Century executive's shoes.
New York City-based Hobbs' most recent position is managing director and head of talent at J.P. Morgan. Thomas lauds Hobbs for her "deep knowledge of financial services, coupled with her expertise in talent management." Thomas also offers personal thanks to Gilstrap "for his 24 years of service to the company and the role he played in creating a client-centric culture focused on having a positive impact on society." In her 11 years at JPM, Hobbs has served in a variety of HR leadership roles. Prior to that, Hobbs held HR leadership roles at Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney. She also worked at Better Benefits and is an alumna of both Golden State University and the University of South Carolina. Gilstrap, an alumnus of the University of Missouri - Kansas City, first joined American Century in 1996.
