After 12 Years, an Allianz MD Departs


After more than a decade with a publicly traded multinational's asset management arm, a U.S. leader is moving on. New York City-based Joe Quirk, managing director, global head of operations supplier management, and chief operating officer at Munich, Germany-based Allianz Global Investors [profile], left the company earlier this year, MFWire has learned.

Alexandra Auer, global head of products, operations and technology at Allianz did not immediately respond for comment.

A Rutgers University Alumnus, Quirk served at Allianz for 12 years; in addition to his most recent position, he also served as president of Korea Fund and China Fund, and head of U.S. operations. Prior to his time at Allianz, Quirk served at Neuberger Berman for 17 years in a variety of roles, rising to senior vice president.
