The Four Best Fund Firms to Work For


Parents of four fund firms are among the best employers, according to business magazine and a workplace culture specialist.

Yesterday, the teams at Fortune and Great Place to Work unveiled their 2020 list of the Fortune 100 Best Places to Work. "These companies have created Great Places to Work For All," states Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work.

Edward Jones, which offers the Bridge Builder funds, ranks seventh on the 2020 list. That's the same as 2019, down from fifth in 2018 and 2017, but up from tenth in 2016.

Baird, which has a mutual fund arm, ranks 13th on the new list. That's up from 16th in 2019, down from 12th in 2018, down from fourth in 2017, and down from sixth in 2016.

Nationwide, which has a multi-manager mutual fund arm, ranks 91st on the 2020 list. That's down from 57th in 2019, 53rd in 2018, 54th in 2017, and 71st in 2016.

Goldman Sachs, which has a mutual fund arm, ranks 94th on the 2020 list. That's down from 62nd in 2019, 89th in 2018, 62nd in 2017, and 51st in 2016.
