Today Bob Shea confirms that he has joined TrimTabs Asset Management (TTAM) as CEO and co-chief investment officer. He most recently served as president, co-CIO, and co-founder of J.A. Forlines, a tactical global macro manager bought by W.E. Donoghue two years ago.

"Our mission is to make TTAM the established leader in Free Cash Flow-based investment solutions by accelerating our growth in the retail and advisor channels and to make deeper connections with the institutional community," Shea states.

Shea, an alumnus of St. John's University, co-founded J.A. Forlines in 2009. Prior to that he worked at Tegean Capital and AsiaSource Capital. He also spent more than 13 years at Goldman.

TTAM, founded in 2008, offers a pair of ETFs. According to its most recent ADV, filed in November, the firm has a team of seven people (not counting clerical workers) and $123 million in AUM. TTAM's founder, research analyst Charles Biderman, also created sister company TrimTabs Investment Research in 1990.
