An Ex-COO Exits a $3B-AUM Shop


After more than a quarter century with a mutual fund firm, a former chief operating officer is moving on.

Chad Childs, executive vice president, recently retired from Aquila Investment Management [profile], MFWire has learned. The New York City-based asset manager has more than $3 billion in AUM and offers nine funds.

Diana Herrmann, president and CEO of Aquila, did not immediately return a call for comment. A spokeswoman for Aquila declined to comment.

Childs, an alumnus of Northeastern University and of Hobart College, has spent his entire financial services career at Aquila. He previously worked in the antitrust division at National Economic Research Associates.
