Pavlenko Lutton Passes the Reins

An investment research giant's top watcher of U.S. mutual fund firms is passing the reins to a 13-year company veteran.

Laura Pavlenko Lutton
Morningstar
Head of Asset Management Solutions
Laura Pavlenko Lutton, director of the manager research practice in North America for Morningstar, recently shifted to head of asset management solutions after 20 years with the Chicago-based, publicly traded firm. Sarah Bush, director of fixed income strategies on the manager research team, has been promoted to fill Pavlenko Lutton's shoes as head of the North American manager research analyst team, Citywire reports. (The trade pub also notes that Karin Anderson has succeeded Bush as director of fixed income strategies research.)

Sarah Bush
Morningstar
Director of Manager Research Practice, North America
Pavlenko Lutton, an alumna of Northwestern Unviersity and of Colby College, joined Morningstar in 1999 and has served in a variety of roles over the years. She rose to lead the North America manager research practice in 2016. Before joining Morningstar, she worked at American Banker.

Bush, an alumna of the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and of the University of Wisconsin, rejoined Morningstar in 2011 and rose in 2015 to director of fixed income strategies on the manager research team. She worked at Morningstar previously as an analyst for about four years, then worked at Prudential and the Illinois Facilities Fund before returning to Morningstar.
