Nine Fundsters Win Praise As Role Models For Women


Nine fundsters from six different asset managers are being recognized as "inspiration women and advocate role models" for women in the business world.

Three executives from State Street, two from BlackRock, and one each from AllianceBernstein, Columbia Threadneedle, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and Schroders are among the 190 executives from around the world who are recognized on the Women Role Model Lists 2019, released on September 12 by Yahoo! Finance and by INvolve's HERoes arm. This is HERoes' third annual trio of such lists.

Asset management executives on the 100 Women Executives 2019 list include: Hannah Grove, chief marketing officer of State Street, at #7; Kathryn Koch, co-head of fundamental equity at GSAM, at #47; Anne Ackerley, managing director and head of the retirement group at BlackRock, at #66; and Kim Mustin, senior managing director at AllianceBernstein, at #87.

Amy Whitelaw, managing director and head of Americas equity iShares portfolio engineering at BlackRock, is at #32 on the 50 Women Future Leaders list for 2019.

Asset management executives on the 40 Advocate Executives 2019 list include: Lou Maiuri, chief operating officer of State, at #10; Peter Harrison, group CEO of Schroders, at #14; Ron O'Hanley, CEO of State Street, at #17; and Mark Burgess, chief investment officer for EMEA at Columbia Threadneedle, at #32.

The five-person judging panel for HERoes' lists also includes two asset management executives: Mellody Hobson, co-CEO of Ariel Investments, and Helena Morrissey, head of personal investing at Legal & General Investment Management.
