A Platform Chief Joins an 8,900-FA Network

An 8,900-FA network welcomed a new platform chief earlier this year.

Edward Nigel Walters
Lincoln Financial Network
Senior Vice President, Investment Products and Platforms
Yesterday David Berkowitz, president of Philadelphia-based Lincoln Financial Network (LFN), confirmed that Ed Walters now serves as senior vice president of investment products and platforms at the network. LFN (the retail wealth management arm of publicly traded Lincoln Financial Group) includes two broker-dealers, Lincoln Financial Advisors (LFA) and Lincoln Financial Securities (LFS).

Walters started with LFN back in April. He most recently served as vice president and head of managed accounts on the other side of the business with a big mutual fund firm, T. Rowe Price.

At LFN, Walters will oversee the platforms, products, and solutions for LFA and LFS. Berkowitz lauds Walters for having a "proven track record of innovation and success."

"We are actively investing in enhanced capabilities across our unique business model to ensure we remain a partner of choice for advisors in a highly competitive market," Berkowitz states.

An alumnus of Saint Joseph's University and of Morgan State University, Walters joined T. Rowe in 2015. Prior to that he spent eight years at another B-D, Janney Montgomery Scott. He also worked at Ferris Baker Watts, KPMG, and Legg Mason.
