After Eight Years, a Virtus EVP Retires


The executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Virtus Investment Partners, Mark Flynn, has retired after more than eight years at the Hartford, Connecticut-based fund firm.

Virtus spokesperson Joe Fazzino tells MFWire that the team is "in the process" of filling Flynn's shoes.

Flynn started at Virtus as EVP, general counsel and chief compliance officer in 2011. His work in the legal profession spans nearly 40 years. Prior to his time at Virtus, his most recent role was at iBasis, Inc., where he served as chief legal officer and corporate security. Flynn has provided counsel for a number of other companies, including Imagistics International, Wiggin & Dana, Olin Corp., and Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP.

Flynn earned his BS in Marketing from Fordham University and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. He is based in Hartford, Connecticut.
