Tuesday, December 11, 2018 Mertens Takes a New Career Lane Dave Mertens recently took on a new role, nearly two years after he retired after 15 years at Jensen Investment Management.
MergeLane offers the accelerator week, or as MergeLane refers to it, a "funderator" week, which is a training event for entrepreneurs that "help them become better leaders — a bit of a leadership camp," Mertens tells MFWire. As part of the funderator, the mentors, like Mertens, will meet with the entrepreneurs to work on their business development and any challenges they are facing. "Mentors are [assigned] based on their business backgrounds and hopefully can provide insight," Mertens tells MFWire. Mertens is also staying busy with his involvement in two non-profit boards: Legacy Health and Reading Results. "[For Reading Results] we go in with children from first to third grade one-on-one or two-on-two to get them to grade level reading," Mertner tells MFWire. "The non-profit work keeps me busy." Just one month after retirement, Mertens founded Grouse Ventures, a private investing company. That same month, he additionally became an independent trustee of U.S. Bank's Advisors Series Trust. He has remained at the two ever since. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=59012 Copyright 2018, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
