Schwab's giant Impact 2018 conference in Washington, D.C. continues today and tomorrow before wrapping up on Wednesday. Keynote speakers scheduled to appear include: Jose Andres, chef; Walt Bettinger, CEO of Schwab; Rohit Bhargava, founder of the Non-Obvious Company; Andrew Card, former White House chief of staff; Bernie Clark, executive vice president and head of advisor services at Schwab; Niall Ferguson, managing director of Greenmantle; Padma Lakshmi, host of Top Chef; Denis McDonough, former White House chief of staff; and Janet Yellen, former chair of the Federal Reserve. The sponsor list is a veritable who's who of asset managers in the RIA channel.

Tomorrow afternoon, after the market closes, the Artisan Partners Asset Management team will release their Q3 2018 earnings. Management will host their Q3 earnings call on Wednesday at 11am eastern time.

Tomorrow evening the Stradley Ronon team will host a cocktail reception at the Yale Club of New York City. The event, titled "What's Going On at the SEC?", will feature David Grim, current Stradley Ronon partner and former head of the SEC's division of investment management.

On Wednesday Matt O'Connor take over as CEO of American Funds Distributors, succeeding Kevin Clifford, who is retiring.

Also on Wednesday, the J.P. Morgan Asset Management team will host a press lunch at their offices in New York City. The event, titled "Introducing the 2019 Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions," will feature David Kelly, chief global strategist, and John Bilton, head of multi-asset strategy.

On Thursday morning before the market opens, the Janus Henderson Group team will release their Q3 2018 earnings. Management will host their Q3 earnings call at 8am eastern time.

Also on Thursday, the 29th annual SRI conference will kick off at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The four-day event will feature a host of speakers, including: Jeremy Grantham, chief investment strategist at Grantham, Mayo & van Otterloo (GMO); Michelle Edkins, managing director at BlackRock; Daniel Esty, professor at Yale Law School; Robert Jackson, SEC commissioner; and Kurt Summers, treasurer of the City of Chicago.

Also on Thursday, the Philadelphia Fund Alliance is hosting its third-annual gala. The cocktail party and dinner will feature keynote speaker Michael Smerconish, host of CNN's Smerconish and of counsel at Kline & Specter. The event will raise money for the Take a Breather Foundation.

Also on Thursday evening, the Fixed Income Analysts Society Inc (FIASI) team will host a hall of famers discussion at the Union League Club in New York Club. The event, titled "Lessons Learned & Ignored — the Outlook for Markets 10 Years Post GFC", will feature: Martin Fridson, chief investment officer of Lehmann Livian Fridson Advisors; Jim Grant, founder and editor of Grant's Interest Rate Observer; Jack Malvey, former chief global markets strategist at BNY Mellon Investment Management; and Glenn Reynolds, co-founder and chief global strategist at CreditSights.
