After 14 Years With Lord Abbett, a Partner Exits


A lawyer is leaving Lord Abbett [profile] after 14 years with the company.

John Forst, partner and deputy general counsel, is moving on from the Jersey City, New Jersey-based mutual fund shop, MFWire has learned.

Larry Stoller, partner and senior deputy general counsel at Lord Abbett, declined to comment and referred inquiries to Jim Sansevero, partner and chief marketing officer. Sansevero, in turn, did not immediately return a call for comment.

Forst joined Lord Abbett in 2004, and he rose to partner in 2013. He is an alumnus of George Washington University, Capital University Law School, and Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to joining Lord Abbett, he worked at Dechert and the SEC.
