Wednesday, June 20, 2018 What Did This Ex-TCW PM Text? Next up in the TCW [profile] harassment case: spotlight on text messages. Yesterday in New York City a state judge ordered former TCW PM Sara Tirschwell to reveal text messages with a friend, Reuters reports. The judge also reportedly gave Tirschwell's lawyers the go-ahead to question a trio of TCW board members under oath. Tirschwell's $30-million lawsuit claims that her former boss, TCW alternative products chief Jess Ravich, coerced her into sex and that TCW fired her in retaliation for complaining. Attorneys for Ravich, TCW, and other TCW executives have countered by claiming that, despite having a relationship years ago, Ravich and Tirschwell never had sex while she was at TCW. A spokesperson for Tirschwell retorted by accusing TCW of conducting "a smear campaign." The text message disclosure order yesterday comes after attorneys for Ravich and TCW doubted the veracity of a text Tirschwell sent to a friend, a text about having sex with Ravich two years ago. The texts Tirschwell has been ordered to disclose are further messages with that friend around the same time. "It came out of nowhere," Robert Sacks, an attorney representing Ravich, reportedly said yesterday in court. After the ruling yesterday, a spokesperson for Tirschwell reportedly said that Tirschwell is "happy to provide these texts in the spirt of full transparency."
