In Texas, a Fundster Prez Resigns

The president of a Texas fund firm is stepping down.

After market close this afternoon, U.S. Global Investors [profile] CEO Frank Holmes confirmed that Susan McGee, president (also general counsel and chief compliance officer), resigned from the San Antonio-based mutual fund and ETF shop yesterday. McGee also joined a Goldman Sachs Asset Management fund board today.

There is no word yet on how McGee's duties will be handled at publicly traded U.S. Global Investors.

McGee, an alumna of both the University of Houston and of the St. Mary's University School of Law, spent more than 25 years at U.S. Global Investors.

"Susan has made many contributions to U.S. Global investors during her time here," Holmes states. "On behalf of the entire company, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude for her work over the years and wish her the very best in her new journey!"
