On Tuesday John Chalker, managing director and co-founder of LM, confirmed that Capotosto, King, and Watkins are all joining the San Diego-based firm. Watkins now serves as economist at LM, King as senior vice president of business development, and Capotosto as vice president of business development.

Retiring: Bert McKasy

Last week the Saint Paul, Minnesota-based shop confirmed that on December 31 Bert McKasy will retire (thanks to a mandatory retirement age of 75) as chair of the fund board of trustees and that on January 1 audit committee chair Mary Schmid Daughterty will become chair of the fund board. Also on January 1, Susan Knight and Mark Henneman will join the fund board.

Promoted: Michael Stevens

Last week Nick Good, co-head of the global SPDR business at SSgA, confirmed a sales realignment that puts Stevens in charge of US SPDR intermediary sales.

Trade Group: the Investment Company Institute (ICI)

Reelected: Ted Truscott

Last week ICI president and CEO Paul Schott Stevens confirmed that ICI's board reelected Truscott, CEO of Columbia Threadneedle, as chairman of the ICI. The board extended Truscott's tenure by another year. Immediate past chairman Bill McNabb (also chairman and outgoing CEO for Vanguard) will also stay on for a year as vice chairman.

Last week Fidelity chairman and CEO Abby Johnson, confirmed the promotion of Durbin, previously head of the product and platform technology group at Fidelity Institutional, to president of all of Fidelity Institutional. Durbin succeeds Jeff Lagarce, who will become a senior advisor.

Last week John Radtke, managing director and executive vice president — head of capital markets at AAM, confirmed the hiring of Courtney as managing director, head of national account management for AAM's capital markets group.

Last week David Rentfrow, managing director and head of distribution at Crossmark, confirmed the recent additions to his distribution team as regional directors. Harris now covers the Southeast, Perkes the south part of Texas, and Shaw the western part of the U.S.
