Thursday, September 28, 2017 Hung Picks Fisher's Successor at MainStay Yie-Hsin Hung just picked Steve Fisher's successor as head of New York Life Investment Management's mutual fund business. Hung, CEO of NYLIM, confirms today the appointment of Kirk Lehneis as president of NYLIM's MainStay Funds [profile]. Lehneis will continue to serve as NYLIM's chief operating officer, too. Lehneis succeeds Fisher, who planned to retire this month. There is no word yet on how Fisher's two roles outside MainStay, as president of NYLIM and as chief marketing officer of the New York Life Investments Group, will be handled. Hung praises Lehneis as "an able steward" who "has made significant contributions to the company's success." Lehneis, a 12-year New York Life veteran, is an alumnus of UPenn.
