Franklin Templeton Opens Funds of Funds

Franklin Templeton Distributors has put together a pair of funds of funds for advisors. Both of the new funds invest in other Franklin Templeton sponsored funds. The two new funds are the Franklin Templeton Corefolio Allocation Fund and Franklin Templeton Founding Funds Allocation Fund.

Peter Jones, president of Franklin Templeton Distributors, said that the two funds are being launched in response to requests from financial advisors seeking a one-stop asset allocation solution for clients. Tony Coffey will manage the fund portfolios.

The Franklin Templeton Corefolio Allocation Fund makes equal investments in the Franklin Capital Growth Fund, Franklin Growth Fund, Mutual Shares Fund and Templeton Growth Fund.

The Franklin Templeton Founding Funds Allocation Fund invests in three value funds -- the Franklin Income Fund, Mutual Shares Fund and Templeton Growth Fund.
