A Utah Fund Firm Shutters

On June 30, Utah-based Jackson Park Capital, LLC closed down, and it liquidated its Oakseed Opportunity Fund.

A spokesperson from Jackson Park was unavailable for comment.

Founded in September 2012, Jackson Park was an investment management company that offered wealth management, investment strategies, mutual funds, financial planning, and advisory services to its clients, primarily providing services to investment companies. The firm specialized in value equities.

The fund offered both investor class and institutional class shares. Its distributor was IMST Distributors, LLC. Its PM team consisted of Greg L. Jackson, co-founder, and John H. Park, co-founder, since the fund's inception in December 2012.

Jackson has 25 years of experience in the industry. From 1992 to 1998, he was a partner and PM at Yacktman Asset Management. He then served as co-PM of Oakmark Global Fund from 1998 to 2003, and was also a partner at Harris Associates, L.P. from 1999 to 2003. From 2003 to 2011, he was co-chief investment officer of Blum Capital Partners, L.P. He then served as senior PM at Ensign Peak Advisors for a year prior to co-founding the firm in 2012.

With 24 years of experience, Park served as co-chief investment officer at Blum from 2004 to 2012. He was a partner, PM, and director of research of Acorn Select Fund and co-PM of Acorn Fund at Columbia Wanger Asset Management, L.P. from 2004 to 2012.
