Tuesday, July 25, 2017 Dodson Starts Passing the Reins at Parnassus Jerome Dodson, founder and CEO at San Francisco-based Parnassus Investments, 74 years old, is passing on part of his role at Parnassus.
Joe Sinha, director of sales and marketing, tells MFWire that this is part of a succession plan where Benjamin Allen, president at Parnassus, will "gradually take on more roles as the top person" while Dodson passes on part of his duties. On January 6, 2017, Benjamin Allen was named president of Parnassus. Allen was previously VP and PM. “The goal is to have a smooth transition for people,” as the change will fully take place roughly a year from now, around May," Sinha tells MFWire. Allen has started to take on more general management duties. Dodson will move into a role where he just manages money. “Dodson has an excellent performance record, and right now manages the company and is the lead PM in two funds. He loves to buy stocks and will continue to manage products, but will gradually no longer carry out general management duties.” Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=56644 Copyright 2017, InvestmentWires, Inc.
