Friday, June 23, 2017 Amundi-Pioneer Picks an Americas Chief As the Pioneer [profile] sale to Amundi nears the finish line, the French asset management giant's chiefs have picked a familiar leader for this side of the pond. [See MFWire's living timeline of the deal]
Yesterday Paris-based Amundi Group confirmed that Lisa Jones, who has been president and CEO of Pioneer Investment Management USA for three years, will become Amundi's head of the "USA/Canada and Latin America", i.e. the Americas, and she will join the Amundi executive committee. Yves Perrier, currently CEO of Amundi, made the revelation as part of a broader outline of the post-deal organization, in advance of an expected closing date of July 3. Jones isn't the only Pioneer U.S. leader who will have a key role in the post-merger Amundi. Perrier reveals that Ken Taubes, currently executive vice president and chief investment officer in the U.S. for Pioneer, will become head of "US expertise" under group CIO Pascal Blanque and deputy CIO Vincent Mortier. And Perrier also confirms that Boston will be one of Amundi's "six primary investment hubs." (The others will be Dublin, London, Milan, Paris, and Tokyo.) Meanwhile, Pioneer's global CEO and CIO, Giordano Lombardo, is moving on after the deal closes. In December, Amundi unveiled a $3.76-billion cash deal to buy Pioneer from Italian banking giant UniCredit. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=56513 Copyright 2017, InvestmentWires, Inc.
