The two-day event will be held at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Maryland. Featured speakers scheduled to take the stage at the recordkeeper trade group's conference include: Chris Gaston, senior policy director at Davis & Harman; Joshua Gotbaum, guest scholar for the retirement security project at the Brookings Institution; Mike Hadley, partner at Davis & Harman; Matthew O'Hara, global head of investments for BlackRock's LifePath; Roberta Rafaloff, vice president of institutional income annuities at MetLife; Tim Rouse, executive director of the Spark Institute; Sharon Scanlon, senior vice president of Lincoln Financial Group; and many others. Thursday is also the deadline for submitting entries for the Mutual Fund Education Alliance's (MFEA's) 2017 Star Awards. The marketing trade group is accepting submissions from small, medium, large, and large-plus asset managers in 36 award categories encompassing communication with financial advisors, retail investors, and retirement plan participants and plan sponsors. There's also a special "community investment award" recognizing a fund firm that makes "outstanding community service contributions." The Star award winners will be recognized at the Star Awards ceremony at the J.W. Marriott in Chicago on October 25. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=56338 Copyright 2017, InvestmentWires, Inc.
