Four Managers Leave Allianz's Retail Team

Four managers are leaving Allianz Global Investors' [profile] U.S. retail team, MFWire has learned.

Kilie Donahue
Allianz
Vice President, Retirement Sales Manager
Kilie Donahue, Jim Lyons, Greg Shannahan, and Forrest Wilson are all moving on from the multinational asset manager's New York City-based U.S. arm, a company spokeswoman confirms. Donahue served as vice president, retirement sales manager and internal retirement sales desk chief. Lyons served as western division manager in the wirehouse, bank and planner channels. Shannahan served as eastern divisional director. Wilson served as director, head of retirement sales, national sales manager, DC I-O and variable annuity markets.

The spokeswoman declined to comment on how Donahue's, Lyons', Shannahan's, and Wilson's duties are being handled.

MFWire's sister publication, 401kWire, broke the news of Donahue and Wilson leaving Allianz.

The departures follow advisory national accounts chief Kate Thompson taking over over as head of U.S. retail on January 1, succeeding John Carroll.

Orange County, California-based Lyons is an alumnus of California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and UC Irvine. He previously worked at VanKampen, and AB before joining Allianz in 2009.

Northern New Jersey-based Shannahan is an alumnus of Merrimack College. He previously worked at AB and LoCorr before joining Allianz in 2013.

Westchester-based Donahue is an alumnus of Saint Michael's College. She previously worked at Putnam, Ceridian, AB, and Cammack LaRhette before joining Allianz in 2012.

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Wilson is an alumnus of both Central Connecticut State University and NYU. He previously worked at Fidelity, ING (now Voya), Great-West (now part of Empower), and Aspire before joining Allianz in 2013.
