An in-the-limelight fund firm in the west is sticking to its knitting.

Front Street Capital Management
President and Portfolio Manager
Montana-based Front Street Capital Management's Tarkio Fund has recently been awarded the Wall Street Journal's Category King, naming the fund as a top mid cap core fund. This is the 7th time the fund has been recognized for this award.

The key to the Tarkio Fund's success? The Front Street folks put their best idea first, believing their best idea should be in one fund and one fund only.

"[Our strategy is] to stay focused on the process and owning it," Russ Piazza, portfolio manager, tells MFWire.

The fund, which has been active since 2011, focuses on a no-load philosophy, aimed at long-term growth. The fund is distributed by Arbor Court Capital, LLC.

Front Street Capital Management is a boutique investment advisors with a team of five people. They're heavily focused on achieving long term goals, employing the same strategies for over 25 years. Along with the Tarkio Fund, they manage individual accounts, IRAs, 401(k)s, trusts and foundations. They have $305 million in AUM as of August 31, 2016.
