American Century Grows Institutional Team

American Century Institutional has added a trio of new vice presidents. The new hires will boost the Kansas City firm's institutional sales and marketing efforts. All three new executives take the title of vice president and director.

William C. Horton will develop client relationships in the central United States, focusing on corporate pension plans, public funds, endowments, foundations and multi-employer relationships. He was most recently a partner at the institutional sales and marketing firm of J. Stephan & Company, Inc.

Lawrence Remstedt will cover the same client demographic in western United States. He was director of institutional sales and client services at Citigroup Asset Management before leaving that firm more than a year ago.

Finally, M. Randall Strickland will develop investment management relationships with institutional consultants. He joins American Century from Dresdner RCM Global Investors where he led the global consultant relations team.
