Wednesday, December 14, 2016 FTSE Russell Hires an ETF Distro Vet A veteran mutual fund and ETF distribution executive recently signed on to help an acquisitive index provider support advisors. New York City-based Aaron Dillon joined the London Stock Exchange's (LSE's) FTSE Russell indexing arm "a couple of weeks ago" as a managing director, FTSE Russell spokesman Tim Benedict confirms. Dillon most recently served as senior vice president of national accounts and institutional sales at New York City-based ETF provider Global X [profile].
At FTSE Russell, Dillon focuses specifically on the wealth advisory channel, working with FAs and RIAs. "We work with all the major ETF providers. Their clients are FAs," so the wealth advisory channel team works to make sure key wealth management industry allies have tools and resources from FTSE Russell, Benedict tells MFWire. An alumnus of Ohio State University, Dillon held key mutual fund platform roles at Morgan Stanley and TD Ameritrade before joining KraneShares (then Harvest Krane USA) in 2012 as a managing director of national key accounts and chief operating officer.
