Cliff Asness and his team said goodbye to a channel chief over the summer.

Robert Capone

Former Managing Director, Head of Defined Contribution and Sub Advisory
401kWire, MFWire's sister publication, reported on Wednesday that Rob Capone recently left Asness' AQR Capital Management [profile]. Capone had served as managing director and head of defined contribution and subadvisory for the $159.2-billion AUM, Greenwich, Connecticut-based quantitative hedge fund and mutual fund shop.

A spokesperson for AQR declined to comment.

Capone, an alumnus of Dartmouth, most recently held a similar position at BNY Mellon before joining AQR in 2014. Prior to that he worked at Mercer and Putnam.
