Chuck Royce just anointed his successor as CEO.

Today Royce confirms that a familiar face, Chris Clark, will take the Royce & Associates [profile] CEO reins on July 1. Clark already serves as co-chief investment officer and rose to president two years ago.

Meanwhile, himself Royce himself is sticking around as chairman and PM of the company that he founded 44 years ago.

Royce is a New York City-based Legg Mason affiliate with $18 billion in AUM. It specializes in investing in smaller companies.
