Riordan most recently served as a regional sales director for Highland Capital Management [profile], covering Hawaii and SoCal. MFWire could not immediately reach Highland Capital Funds Distributor president Brad Ross for comment on how Riordan's duties are being handled. At Voya, Riordan will team up senior regional coordinator Robert Van Allen. An alumnus of Johns Hopkins, Riordan worked at American Funds and Destra Capital before joining Highland at the end of 2012. Riordan is also a TV actor (his credits include the shows As the World Turns, the Guiding Light, and Rescue Me), and he was a professional lacrosse player for the Long Island Lizards and the Los Angeles Riptide. "Terry's diverse background, from financial services to professional athletics, makes him an outstanding addition to our team," Chakarun states.
