The BrightScope Bros Hire a DST and Access Data Vet
The BrightScope brothers just hired a DST and Access Data veteran to lead BrightScope's data charge across different asset management distribution channels.

Ryan Alfred, president and chief operating officer of San Diego-based BrightScope, confirms that Rick Niedt has joined up as executive vice president of enterprise product. Niedt reports to Alfred and is charged with the continued buildout of the BrightScope's Beacon distribution data software platform.
Niedt most recently served as an officer of product development and strategy at asset management data giant DST Systems. A DST spokes declined to comment on how Niedt's duties are being handled.

Alfred lauds Niedt's "deep knowledge of asset management trade resolution and data analytics" and frames bringing Niedt on board as a key move for the company. Prior to Niedt's six years at DST, he worked at Access Data (now part of Broadridge) for five years. Prior to that he worked at O'Connor O'Connor Lordi, Federated Investors, and BNY Mellon. He's an alumnus of Northern Michigan University.
