Friday, May 30, 2003 Insurer Spiffs Up Web for Advisors Minnesota Life has built up the product information available to advisors through its advisor Web site. The site is located at MinnesotaLifeDistributors.com. The site redesign is part of the insurer's build out of its 16-month old wholesaling effort focused on annuities. The insurer launched the MultiOption Advisor annuity in January and plans to build annual annuity sales to $1 billion by 2005. On April 24 it announced an annuity distribution agreement with Kansas City-based Waddell & Reed, whose distribution network includes more than 3,000 advisors. "Building annuity sales and distribution is a top priority," said Greg Farley, vice president, Minnesota Life Distributors. "We've got competitive products, high-touch service, and complete information and sales support tools for the advisors who represent us.
