Friday, August 7, 2015 A $109.2B Shop's Co-Founder Passes On Another Hat Andy Ziegler has taken off another hat, but he's not leaving Artisan [profile] completely just yet. Last month the Milwaukee-based, publicly-traded mutual fund shop confirmed that on August 1 Artisan Partners Asset Management's CEO, Eric Colson, would add the chairman title, too. Andy Ziegler, who co-founded the firm in 1994 with Carlene Murphy Ziegler (his wife), will remain on the board as lead director. APAM's statement describes the shift as "a natural step in the firm's long-term succession planning process." Carlene Ziegler retired from Artisan in 2008, and Andy Ziegler handed the CEO reigns over to Colson in 2010. The 21-year-old mutual fund shop had $109.2 billion as of June 30, 2015.
