AIM Drops AdvisorCentral

AIM Fund Services has signed on with DST Systems to use that firm's Vision Web site. The deal means that AIM will no longer use the competing AdvisorCentral platform to provide its client data to intermediaries.

Kansas City-based DST built its Vision service provides a look-through to customer information for broker-dealers and financial intermediaries working with funds. AIM has been a client of both DST and AdvisorCentral, which helps provide the Web tools to intermediaries.

AIM's sister fund firm -- Invesco funds has been using DST's Vision product since 1998. Both AIM and Invesco are owned by London-based Amvescap.

Ira Cohen, senior vice president of AIM Fund Services, said that Vision's ability to provide transaction processing and online statements were some of the features that attracted the fund firm. He added that 90 percent of AIM's traffic now comes through the DST Vision platform.
