Thursday, May 1, 2003 Vanguard Adds Annuity Options Vanguard is adding two more investment portfolios to its Vanguard Variable Annuity (VA) program. The new portfolios bring the number of investment choices available in the VA to fifteen. One of the two new portfolios, the Capital Growth Portfolio, is subadvised by Primecap Management. The second, the Total Stock Market Index Portfolio, is managed internally by Vanguard's Quantitative Equity Group. The portfolios were first announced last year and will be available in all 50 states. The Vanguard Variable Annuity is issued by Peoples Benefit Life Insurance Company except in New York where it is offered through AUSA Life Insurance Company.
