Wednesday, January 14, 2015 More Calamos Liquid Alts Are On the Way Liquid alternatives and a closed end fund are next on the agenda for Calamos Investments [profile]. Bob Behan, executive vice president and head of global distribution, confirms that the Naperville, Illinois-based mutual fund shop intends "to have a suite of solutions" when it comes to liquid alternative strategies. "This is an area of intense focus for us," Behan tells MFWire. "We also filed for a closed end fund based on convertibles." At the end of December Calalmos launched its 18th and 19th mutual funds. The Calamos Global Convertible Fund is built on a strategy that Calamos has been running 20 years. The other new offering is the Calamos Hedged Equity Income Fund.
