Tuesday, April 22, 2003 Northern Trust Taps Morningstar Tools Northern Trust will use the Morningstar Advisor Workstation for its mutual fund representatives. Kent Hiemenz, director of sales for Northern Trust Securities, said the decision to go with the Chicago-based fund tracker was part of an effort to put both its brokerage and mutual fund operations with one application. He added that Morningstar helped Northern Trust build a customized system of its tools. The platform offers four modules: Planning, Clients & Portfolios, Research, and Sales.
