Online Search Enabler Attracts More Clients

Mendota Heights, Minnesota-based PlanAnalytics has partnered with four new adviser groups and 529 program managers in the first quarter. Jefferson Pilot Securities and Quick & Reilly are joining its Web-enabled Search401k and Search529 services, while Northwestern Mutual Investor Services and TIAA-CREF have signed up for the latter product.

A spokesperson for the online marketplace said the firm likely will add another six new clients for its core 401(k) and 529 service offering next month, declining to name the firms at present.

"I think it is an important statement that through client budget cuts and a downturn, our clients have been able to quantify our value and advocate for our services. We have spent this last year focused primarily on listening to client feedback and turning their feedback into enhanced products and new services to support them," said Tom Plumb, CEO, PlanAnalytics.

PlanAnalytics' Search529 enables advisers to search and compare available 529 plans based on the individual needs of their client at no cost to them. The product enables users to identify plans, and download sales materials and pre-completed enrollment forms.
