Thursday, May 8, 2014 Steyn Steps Down from Aberdeen Out with the old. Out with the new. David Steyn, head of the Americas for Aberdeen Asset Management has stepped down from the role to which he was appointed in December, according to the firm. Steyn had been named successor to Gary Marshall. In a statement from the company, "Gary Marshall will continue to run the Americas operation through the end of June, when he will return to the UK to continue work at Aberdeen.
