Putnam has nabbed Delaware's Joshua Brooks as its new head of global stock research. Brooks rejoins Charles Haldeman, Jr. who resigned as president and CEO of Delaware Investments last October and took the CIO post at Putnam. Brooks, who will start the job on April 7, takes over for William Landes who took a post overseeing the creation of a new hedge fund unit at Putnam.

Mellon's Dreyfus Corp has named Paul Pantalena as its new head of equity trading for its mutual funds. He joins the firm from Columbus Circle Investors where he had been managing director and head of equity trading.

Deutsche Asset management has tapped ex-Invesco executive Bill Barron as global head of research. Barron will be based in London. The firm also said that Stephen Barrow is now head of its London-based global equities portfolio selection team, Joseph DeSantis will head the U.S. equity business and Diane Seymour is now its global equities product head.
