Tuesday, April 29, 2014 Another Distro Honcho Joins Virtus Let's get the show on the road. Things have gotten interesting at Virtus Investment Partners since the departure of former EVP and head of distribution Jeff Cerutti, to serve as CEO for AMG's retail business last month. Virtus hired earlier this month Barry Mandinach as Cerutti's replacement. Mandinach was previously head of wholesale distribution and chief marketing officer at UBS Global Asset Management. Before that, he was chief sales and marketing officer at Virtus' predecessor Phoenix Investment Partners. In addition to Mandinach, Virtus also hired Lijo John to serve as managing director in charge of offshore fund distribution. John was previously regional director for offshore for ING Investment Management MFWire reported earlier this month that Virtus, with the help of Cliffwater had hired ten sub-advisors for a new alts series trust.
