Kasina Pushing into Europe

Industry consultant Kasina is making a push into Europe. The New York City-based firm has tapped Skandia veteran Marcus A. Hebeler as the European director overseeing the effort. Hebeler reports to Steven Miyao, CEO.

"As a native European with extensive international asset management industry experience, he will greatly benefit our clients and our research," said Miyao. Hebeler has held posts in North America, South America and Europe.

He was most recently an investment manager at Skandia Innovation, the venture capital arm of Skandia Worldwide. Prior to that he was deputy CEO for Skandia New Markets where he led that unit's operations in Mexico. His responsibilities included overseeing the development of the portfolio selection process, directing product development, and structuring its sales and marketing strategy.

Hebeler was also an internal wholesaler and mutual fund product manager at American Skandia Life.
