Friday, March 14, 2014 An RIA Czar Rises at BNY The times keep a' changing in the sales and distribution functions of BNY Mellon. Walter 'Tripp' Braillard was recently promoted to head of RIA distribution at BNY Mellon Investment Management. He had previously served as senior vice president and director of business development for DC I-O at the firm. Before that he had been a vice president at Fidelity Investments. There have been a number of notable moves in the sales and distribution function at BNY and Dreyfus recently. Daniel Cronin, formerly senior vice president for business development for RIAs left BNY in February. Former Dreyfus national sales manager Dwight Johnson left to join Lazard in November, and the firm's executive vice persident for broker-dealer distribution, Joseph Fuschillo left in October.
