Friday, January 24, 2014 Van Eck's Sales Czar Jumps to JPAM A veteran sales executive has left his left his leadership position at Van Eck to join JP Morgan Asset Management. Glenn Smith, who was previously national sales director with Van Eck, is now an executive director at JPAM. Smith had been with Van Eck for nearly nine years. As national sales director, he led the company's sales operations in three channels: financial advisors; RIAs, and ETF specialists. According to his Linkedin profile, he oversaw the successful rollout of at least 24 Market Vectors ETFs as well as the execution of sales plans for 50 such Market Vectors products. Smith's previous positions at Van Eck were director of ETF sales (Market Shares), and regional business development specialist.
