Protegent Names New CMO

Protegent, a financial services and mutual fund industry technology vendor, has recently hired Andrea J. Pollinger, formerly of Fidelity Investments, as Chief Marketing Officer. Pollinger joins the firm after fifteen years in key marketing and corporate communications roles at Fidelity Investments, where she served most recently as a senior vice president, Fidelity Charitable Services and vice president, Strategic Marketing, Fidelity Investments Institutional Services.

"Andi adds a whole new dimension to that leadership group, bringing us not only a depth of marketing expertise but also the benefit of her diverse experience at Fidelity, where she was very much involved in leveraging technology to both deliver and promote financial services offerings," said David Tilkin, Protegent's founder and CEO.

"With the securities industry under intense scrutiny, investor confidence in the industry declining, and regulatory requirements increasing-financial services firms face a particularly difficult challenge in managing their business so as to ensure compliance, rebuild investor trust, and meet the investment needs of their customers," said Pollinger.

"Success will absolutely depend on the application of new technology to rigorously and cost-effectively monitor investment activity - and Protegent is setting the industry standard for this kind of technology."
