Tuesday, October 22, 2013 Fido's SSgA-Killers Are Hitting the Market Get ready to rumble. Fidelity's [profile] long-waited ETFs focusing on 10 industry sectors will launch tomorrow, according to Barron's and ETF Trends. The Boston Behemoth originally filed to launch the products in in July. They will be powered by BlackRock [profile], and offer coverage comparable to similar products by State Street [profile], but at a slightly lower price. It was a long road to this launch, first started by Fido rehiring Tony Rochte in March 2012 to run the company's ETF arm, dubbed SelectCo. A number of pundits have discussed whether Fido can succeed as a latecomer to the space. We'll know soon. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=46509 Copyright 2013, InvestmentWires, Inc.
