Brown Debuts a Mortgage Securities Fund


Brown Advisory [profile] is preparing to launch the Brown Advisory Mortgage Securities Fund.

The fund will reportedly hold 80 percent of its total assets in investment grade mortgage-related securities, according to an SEC filing. Up to 20 percent of the fund's assets are expected to be held in securities that are rated below investment grade. It may also invest in derivatives instruments.

The primary portfolio manager will be Thomas Graff, who also manages Brown's Advisory Tactical Bond Fund. Co-managing the new product is Paul Corbin.
