MFEA Narrows It Down to Three Do-Gooders
Three finalists are vying for the Mutual Fund Education Alliance's (MFEA) do-gooder star: Hennessy, Aberdeen, and Natixis.
The three were announced as the national finalists for the 2013 Community Investment Award, presented as part of the MFEA’s annual STAR Awards.
The Community Investment Award annually to recognize an asset management company for its outstanding community service contributions such as special programs, partnerships, in-kind support of goods and services, employee volunteerism or other activities that have a positive impact on their community.
The 2013 finalists and their programs are:
Aberdeen Asset Management for the Aberdeen Charitable Foundation
Hennessy Funds for its Community & Volunteer Programs
Natixis Global Asset Management for the John Winthrop Elementary School Partnership

The Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) has announced the three national finalists for the 2013 Community Investment Award, presented as part of the

The STAR Awards program, now in its 17th year, presents the prestigious Community Investment Award annually to recognize an asset management company for its outstanding community service contributions such as special programs, partnerships, in-kind support of goods and services, employee volunteerism or other activities that have a positive impact on their community.

The recipient of this year’s Community Investment Award will be announced, along with other STAR Awards winners, as part of the STAR Awards Celebration which will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago on October 23.
