BERWYN, Pa.--The Turner Funds has introduced the Turner Emerging Markets Fund, which invests in about 60-100 growth stocks of all market capitalizations from issuers tied economically to the emerging markets.

The no-load Turner Emerging Markets Fund is offered in both Institutional Class shares (ticker symbol: TEEEX) and Investor Class shares (ticker symbol: TFEMX).

The fund is managed by Donald W. Smith and Rick Wetmore. Turner Investments, an employee-owned investment firm with more than $8 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2013, serves as the investment adviser for the fund. Headquartered in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Turner was founded in 1990.

The fund may be appropriate for institutional and individual investors who seek the long-term growth of capital and can tolerate the share-price volatility of emerging-markets stock investing. The fund’s performance benchmark is the MSCI Emerging Markets Index.

The fund has a minimum initial investment of $250,000 for Institutional Class shares and $2,500 for Investor Class shares. For Individual Retirement Accounts, the minimum initial investment is $100,000 for Institutional Class shares and $2,000 for Investor Class shares.
